# Lookio documentation

Lookio answers questions from your own knowledge. You add resources (texts, files, web pages, whole websites), you give them to an assistant, and the assistant answers with the passages it relied on.

Importing is free. Only asking a question spends credits.

[**Get started**](/docs/get-started/quickstart)

Add a resource, create an assistant and ask a first question, from the app or with curl.

[**Platform guides**](/docs/platform/resources)

Resources, tags, assistants, chat, credits, members and API keys in the web app.

[**REST API**](/docs/api/overview)

Everything the app does, over HTTP, with one error format and safe retries.

[**CLI**](/docs/cli/overview)

The `lookio` command for terminals, CI jobs and coding agents.

[**MCP**](/docs/mcp/overview)

Connect Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT to your workspace.

> **Info: Where Lookio answers**
>
> The API answers at `https://api.lookio.app/v1` and the MCP server at `https://mcp.lookio.app/mcp`. Add an assistant to your website with the [widget](/docs/widget/overview), or call Lookio from TypeScript with the [SDK](/docs/sdk/overview).
