Change a site's rules

Replaces all of a site's rules (the patterns go inside rules; omit it to keep the current ones) and, when provided, its schedule, then synchronises it: pages the new rules leave out are removed, new ones imported.

PUT/v1/resources/{resource_id}/rules

Requires resources:write.

PUT replaces all the rules. Send the complete set under rules: patterns sent anywhere else are refused with unknown_field. Omit rules to keep the current ones, for example to change only the schedule; send {} to import the whole site. Omit schedule to keep the site’s current interval.

Use manual, daily, weekly, monthly, or an interval such as every_3_days, every_2_weeks or every_1_month. Intervals range from 1 to 90 days, 1 to 52 weeks or 1 to 12 months. Recurring schedules require a paid plan; Free workspaces can use manual. The API returns feature_not_available if a Free workspace requests a recurring schedule.

The site is synchronised right away: pages the new rules leave out are removed, and new ones are imported. The resource must be a site, or the call fails with conflict.

Patterns apply to the path of a page. See Rules for the syntax. Use Preview a site to try rules before you commit.

Use these docs with your AI tools

An AI agent can read this documentation directly. You do not need an account or an API key. Everything here is public and read-only.

Query these docs via MCP

Recommended

Add this server to Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Mistral, or any tool that supports MCP. Your agent can then search Lookio Docs documentation and read it in full, instead of answering from memory.

https://lookio.app/docs/mcp
  • searchFind the passages that answer a question.
  • fetchRead one page in full, as Markdown.
  • list_pagesSee every page in this documentation.

Query these docs over HTTP

The same tools also work as plain web requests. Use this for scripts, or for any tool that does not support MCP. There is one endpoint per tool. Arguments go in the query string, and the answer comes back as JSON.

Read the OpenAPI description. It is built from the same definitions as the tools, so it always matches what the endpoints do.

Read these docs as Markdown

Add .md to any page URL to get its Markdown source. You can also send the headerAccept: text/markdown to the page URL itself.

To read the whole documentation in one file, open llms-full.txt. For a short index of every page, open llms.txt.
